Although we specialize in catching sharks of all shapes and sizes for our clients, one of the most fun trips we do here at Shark Ventures is our 4 hour Kids Fishing Charter. One of the biggest challenges when taking kids fishing is trying to teach them patience. Unfortunately, younger kids definitely find it challenging to "wait for the bite", so to avoid this common situation, we take the kids to a location where they can easily get a fish on almost every cast which keeps them busy the entire trip. Although the fish may be smaller in size, kids love to feel the fight and have a ball catching them one after another. If we're lucky, every once in while a big fish or small shark comes in and lets them have the fight of their life. This not only makes the kids happy, but the parents love the opportunity to take lots of pictures and videos throughout their charter.
In addition to all of the fishing fun we have, we also get to see lots of wildlife on the way in and out of the fishing grounds. It's not uncommon to see dolphins, manatees, coastal birds and even bald eagles coming down to grab a nearby fish. Many of the younger anglers just love being out there on the water as it is such a different experience for them. It's new sights, new sounds and lots of different fish species to learn about.
