About Your Captain

USCG Certified Captain Ed McCormick has been hunting and fishing the Central Florida Waters for over 25 years! Captain Ed is not only a certified Boat Captain, but also a former Corporate Pilot, previously flying many of todays more advanced Private Jet Aircraft. His adventures with Gator Hunting, Fishing and Bowfishing have been featured on many of todays popular outdoor Television shows. His lifelong passion for the outdoors began nearly 40 years ago, hunting deer and small game in the Northeast and fishing for Blues and Tuna in the North Atlantic. After moving to Florida over 30 years ago, it didn't take him long to realize that the south was a Sportsman's Paradise.

About Our Tagging Program

Thanks to our partners at Gray FishTag Research, we have the ability to tag sharks and other fish species on our fishing charters. This allows our customers to be apart of an amazing tag research program.

Name Your Own Shark!

Being apart of the Gray Fish Tag program allows our clients to not only name a shark, but be part of the entire shark tagging process. This offers researchers the opportunity to gather invaluable data about shark movement and survivability. It's also a great way to teach kids about conservation and what kid doesn't want to name his or her very own shark.

You will get to catch, measure, name and identify the shark species. After a few quick photos and measurements, we will quickly release the shark safely and send it on its way. If that shark is ever caught again, you will be notified about its new capture location, the distance it traveled and how many days it was at large. Shark tagging is a great way to enjoy the excitement of shark fishing while contributing to valuable ocean conservation efforts.
